Recent Stanley Hotel Review: "Well I have to say, at first this seemed like the stay from heck! We check in and head to our room. We have a 1st floor room in the Manor House. We have to stay in the Manor since we brought our pet, and on 1st floor companion is handicapped. We enter our room and it is 85 degrees in the room! We find out there is no A/C no big deal just open a window.  The 3 windows in our room are painted shut! We called desk and they sent the handy man, he comes into our room looks at windows and says " They are painted shut" The room is a double, there are 2 guests and one chairr The room was so small I could touch the bed from every wall in the room. For the price of a nightly stay we expected a little larger room. Ok for above and beyond, we get a call from the front desk. They say they found us another room and ask if our handicapped friend could use an elevator. The lady said if not the will give us a room in main building 1st floor dog and all! I said the elevator was not a problem. The lady at the desk knocks on our door 3 minutes later with a bell-hop. She takes us to the elevator and to a 3rd floor room. The room is almost 3 times the size of our other room, the windows open LoL and it even has a ceiling fan. We tell her this room is great, we hear a knock on the door and the bell-hop is there with EVERYTHING we brought into our old room, he even bagged up out toiletry items! This is what I call above and beyond!! Well deserved 5 stars."
